You settle into a private, air-conditioned luxury off-road suite set up in a prime spot, with everything from crisp linen to hot showers already waiting for you. Your days move at the pace of the wild. Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives with a seasoned ranger take you tracking lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard across changing landscapes, from open grassland to riverine bush. Between drives there is time to do absolutely nothing at all: read in the shade, watch game come down to drink, or simply listen to a soundtrack of birdsong and distant roars. The table is where South Africa truly shows off. Our Boskampkos kitchen cooks a different feast each evening over open flame: dry-aged braai cuts, three-legged-pot classics simmered for hours, fresh farm breads, and slow breakfasts that run into the late morning. Every meal is paired with local wine and served in the open air. This is a family-run experience by people who live and breathe the bush, so it is warm, personal and effortless. You are never processed through a lodge. You are hosted. Meet your host at Ndlovu Gate, the southwestern entrance to Dinokeng Game Reserve reached from the Hammanskraal and Boekenhoutskloof road. Full directions and your personal meet and greet are confirmed once your dates are approved.
Comfortable outdoor clothes in neutral colours for game drives, a warm layer for the cold morning and evening drives, closed walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent, and your camera and binoculars if you have them. Bring any personal medication, and international guests should carry a valid passport. We handle everything else.
