Forever Swadini sits at the base of the Blyde River Canyon — one of the largest green canyons on the planet. The views are absurd. The resort has 220 caravan stands spread along the foot of the cliffs, and you can take boat trips on the Blyde Dam where hippos and crocs are regulars. It's also one of the closest caravan parks to Kruger's Orpen Gate, making it a solid base for combining canyon scenery with proper game drives. About 5 hours from Pretoria via the R36, or you can loop through the Panorama Route and make the drive part of the adventure.
The Blyde River Canyon stretches for 26km and drops over 800m — the Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck Potholes are the iconic viewpoints, both accessible from the R532 above the resort. Boat trips on Blyde Dam depart from the resort jetty and take you into the canyon itself — watch for hippo and fish eagles. Horse riding is available nearby, and there's good hiking in the surrounding nature reserve. Kruger's Orpen Gate is about 60km east, so you can easily do day trips into the park. Hoedspruit is 30 minutes away for fuel and supplies, and it's got craft markets and wildlife centres.

Yes. The resort runs boat trips on Blyde Dam that take you into the canyon. You'll see hippos, crocodiles, and bird life — the scenery from water level is completely different from the viewpoints above.
Kruger's Orpen Gate is about 60km east — roughly an hour's drive. You can do a full day's game drive and be back at the resort for sundowners. It's one of the best locations for combining Kruger with canyon scenery.
About 450km via the R36 through Lydenburg — roughly 5 hours with a caravan. Alternatively, take the N4 to Nelspruit and come up via the R40 for a slightly longer but flatter route.
220 caravan stands with 15A power points, water taps, and ablution blocks. The stands are grassy with some shade. There's a pool, restaurant, and the boat trip jetty is right there at the resort.
