Bass Lake Country Lodge is 30 minutes northeast of Pretoria, off the R573 near Cullinan. It's a proper lodge with 34 spacious caravan stands, a restaurant with a Michelin-trained chef, and a wellness spa on site. The two dams are stocked with black bass and bream for catch-and-release fishing. It's the kind of place where you can camp in comfort without roughing it too much.

The caravan park has 34 level stands with power and water. Ablution facilities are well maintained, with family bathrooms, a ladies' dressing room, and wheelchair-friendly access. Three stands are specifically set up for mobility-impaired guests. Every site gets a mobile braai and there's a sheltered boma for group evenings. Spencer's Restaurant is on site, along with a bar, swimming pools for adults and kids, a games room (pool, table tennis, air hockey), trampoline, and a jungle gym. The Pause Wellness Spa offers treatments if you want to treat yourself. Fishing is the main draw: two dams with black bass and bream, plus pedal boats for the kids.
